Christmas Caroling Row Along Event
Seams to be Sew Blog Event, September 5 - October 10
When asked if I would like to participate in this blog event, I was excited! Designers had to pick from a list of Christmas carols and depict that carol or story of Christmas in a row. My row, Oh Christmas tree, was such a lot of fun to design. I thought it a little ironic that, as a paper piecing pattern designer, I chose to do an applique pattern, but it was what I needed to do to illustrate my carol. A tiny little sneak peak of my row is pictured below.
There are 44 designers in this, the third year of this blog event, with 45 beautiful row designs, both horizontal and vertical. I have seen a lot of them and they are spectacular! Starting on the 5th, there will be four to six designers featured each day with their free patterns to download. October 10th is Show & Tell day when some of the designers show quilts they made incorporating some of the rows. I can't wait to see them!
I made a traditional version and a contemporary version of my row, both included in the same pattern, which will be free to download on September 28th, which is the day I am one of the featured designers.
