It's a Garden Party - 2020 RAL Event

September 24th, finally my day to present my pattern. I hope you have been enjoying this blog event and downloading lots of free patterns with designs that interpret the garden party theme. I have a new love of cacti (yeah, I know that sounds funny) since my vacation to Arizona in January so I decided to design a cactus garden.

This is my cactus garden complete with gecko on the garden wall. Didn't get it quilted as planned, but I plan to quilt blocks in the wall and add details to each cactus - all details are provided in the pattern. This is a 12"x 30" row, and It will be free for one week. You can download the free pattern by clicking on the button below or click HERE to go to SHOP page. My patterns for the three previous years of this RAL are also here.

(Note: I added the green download button to make downloading the file easier, and after fighting it for over an hour it keeps moving up and down the page and I can't find any way to get it to move where I want it. So frustrating!! Every time I click on Publish, it comes out looking different. If you look somewhere down the page, you may see it, if not just click above and it will take you there.)

Today's Giveaways

I have great giveaways today. The first is Dream Wool, a queen size wool batt. This is a $35 value and ships to the US contiguous states only. If you've never used a wool batting, you are sure to love this. It is easy to work with and drapes beautifully. I keep a supply of different Quilters Dream battings on hand and particularly love this one. Sponsored by Quilters Dream Batting: Description of actual product may be found at Seams to be Sew:

Today I am also donating three of my Patchwork Partner Books, one for each of three winners. The value of each book is $35.00 and shipping is to anywhere. Winner pays shipping cost. Whether you are thinking about paper piecing, new to paper piecing, or already love paper piecing, this book is a great tool to own!

It is a 110-page book with detailed instructions and full color illustrations on how to convert specific patchwork units to paper piecing using my new paper piecing methods.  Patterns are in six different sizes and also include some log cabin patterns. Instructions include how to figure the amount of fabric you will need and how to cut it out.  All of the math is done for you!  Just make a copy of the Fabric Cutting Chart and Rotary Cutting Table and fill in the data for your project. The book is spiral bound for easy copying. For more information on what's included in the book, click HERE.

Don't forget to leave a comment a the bottom of the page to be eligible to win one of today's giveaways. Good Luck to everyone!

In addition to today's giveaways, don't forget that Electric Quilt is offering a 20% discount code for any products except for EQ Academy during the row along. The coupon code is: GARDENPARTY20. Click HERE to go to the Electric Quilt website.

As Always, All Giveaways Have Some Rules Please take the time to read them.

  • Giveaways offered by sponsors are assigned to the various bloggers/designers for their featured day.

  • There are no prior announcements on who is doing which sponsor except to the sponsor and blogger/designers themselves.

  • You’ll have to visit the blog or the featured blog to enter the giveaways.

  • Some giveaways can also be entered at Seams To Be Sew. You must have commented at the blog of the designer/blogger’s post to enter at Seams To Be Sew, Winners who win from entering at Seams To Be Sew will be checked for the comment. This does not mean that commenting at Seams To Be Sew will get you an entry, it doesn’t.

  • When you enter a give away that asks you to answer the question asked on the entry form, you do need to fill in that box. No answer means your winning entry will be ignored and canceled.

  • You are only allowed to enter once at each of the featured day sites. Giveaways are different at each site, thus you can enter those giveaways.

  • I will start announcing winners on September 15, 2020, and finish announcing winners on October 15, 2020.

  • You must give a valid email address when you enter the giveaways, any email returned to me, loses the ability to win automatically.

  • You are given 3 days to answer the email, if you do not answer within 3 days a new winner will be drawn. Check those spam/junk mail folders, you may miss that winning email if you don’t do so because there are no exceptions to this rule.

  • Participating bloggers/designers may enter any of the giveaways.

  • The word giveaways in the rules and guidelines are also known as sweepstakes.

Additional Notes About Giveaways From Our Sponsors

  • I am not rich and I do not ask sponsors for money, they provide prizes only.

  • If they shipped the prize to me, you will be asked to pay for shipping.

  • All giveaways will be shipped that are in my home on each Monday of the event.

  • An invoice will be sent to you via Paypal, and shipping will take place via Paypal, so your Paypal email will be needed to send the invoice. You will receive a tracking number except for overseas shipments. Because of the nature of many of the prizes in 2020, most packages this year will be sent via Priority Mail except where noted above.

  • Please note, every effort is made to protect the prizes. They go into a plastic bin when I receive them, and it is covered by an airtight cover. I have a dog in my home and I have a smoker in my home, so I do everything possible to protect the prizes.

  • Most companies are very good about getting prizes off to customers quickly also, but some companies are overseas, so please allow all sponsors a 2-week time period before you report to me that you still haven’t received your prize. When the company is overseas, it can take 6 weeks to 90 days for an item to also arrive.

Whether or not you read the above, the rules for giveaways are in place to protect everyone. I do not want to hear you didn’t read them, they are posted on this post and this link will be made available on all blogs and mine each day of the event. There is no excuse for not reading them.

Thank the sponsor by buying their products for the giveaways. This helps them continue to offer great prizes for these types of events. You can also comment on their social media pages. Even if you don’t win, letting them know you love their products is a huge incentive and they really do love hearing from you.

A Huge Thank YOU to these companies for once again participating as a sponsor for giveaways in the row along this year. I am so honored and it is so appreciated when you say yes.
